    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, Seventy years ago, on May 29, 1923, Oscar and
    1-3  Lillie Dietrich of Burton, Texas, placed great faith and trust in
    1-4  the future and they have been amply rewarded as they recently
    1-5  celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably during the
    1-7  years of their marriage yet Mr. and Mrs. Dietrich have steadfastly
    1-8  embraced traditional family and moral values; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Over the years, they have grown stronger in
   1-10  their love and devotion as together they have experienced the
   1-11  joys and sorrows of everyday living; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Dietrich have been blessed with a
   1-13  wonderful family and are beloved by their children,
   1-14  Nevi Lee Dietrich Lauter, Raymond and Virginia Dietrich, and
   1-15  Wilfred and Bobbie Dietrich; the couple has two grandchildren
   1-16  and five great-grandchildren; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Dietrich are sharing their happiness
   1-18  with their family and friends at a reception at their home on
   1-19  June 6, 1993; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, The long and happy union of Mr. and Mrs. Dietrich
   1-21  is truly an inspiration to us all; now, therefore, be it
   1-22        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-23  73rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to
    2-1  Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Dietrich on their 70th wedding anniversary;
    2-2  and, be it further
    2-3        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-4  this distinguished couple as a memento of this special day in
    2-5  their lives.
