1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION
1-2 WHEREAS, Fifty-one years ago, on April 16, 1942,
1-3 Mr. and Mrs. John Castaneda placed great faith and trust in
1-4 the future and they have been amply rewarded as they recently
1-5 celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary; and
1-6 WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably throughout
1-7 their marriage yet Mr. and Mrs. Castaneda have steadfastly
1-8 embraced traditional family and moral values; and
1-9 WHEREAS, Over the years, the beloved couple have grown
1-10 stronger in their friendship and devotion as together they have
1-11 experienced the joys and sorrows of everyday living; and
1-12 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Castaneda are truly deserving of the
1-13 long and happy marriage with which they have been blessed; and
1-14 WHEREAS, Residents of Palestine for the past 35 years,
1-15 Mr. and Mrs. Castaneda are an inspiration to all who are fortunate
1-16 enough to know them; now, therefore, be it
1-17 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
1-18 73rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to
1-19 Mr. and Mrs. John Castaneda on their 51st wedding anniversary;
1-20 and, be it further
1-21 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
1-22 this distinguished couple as a memento of this special day in
1-23 their lives.
