    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                   Weda Dorothea Ringener Winkelmann
    1-5        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the family
    1-6  and many friends of Weda Dorothea Ringener Winkelmann in mourning
    1-7  the loss of this fine woman on May 8, 1993; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Born November 3, 1906, in the New Wehdem community,
    1-9  she was the daughter of Gustav and Minna Lueckemeyer Ringener; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, A remarkable Texas woman, she knew all the joys
   1-11  and sorrows of a full lifetime of 86 years; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, On November 12, 1924, she was married to
   1-13  Otto H. Winkelmann in Saint James Lutheran Church by
   1-14  Pastor H. A. Heineke; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, A devout Christian and a faithful Lutheran,
   1-16  Mrs. Winkelmann was a dedicated member of Saint Paul's Evangelical
   1-17  Lutheran Church of Brenham and the church's Ladies Aid; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, An extraordinarily capable woman, she was a
   1-19  retired bookstore manager at Blinn College; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, A devoted wife and mother, Mrs. Winkelmann leaves
   1-21  behind a legacy of love and compassion; and
   1-22        WHEREAS, During her lifetime, she established a permanent
   1-23  place for herself in the hearts of all who knew her; now, therefore,
    2-1  be it
    2-2        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-3  73rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the members
    2-4  of her family:  her daughter and son-in-law, Merle and
    2-5  Joe Al Picone; her grandchildren, Kyle Picone and Kevin Picone;
    2-6  and her brother, Otto Ringener; and, be it further
    2-7        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-8  the members of her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from
    2-9  the Texas Senate, and that when the the Senate adjourns this day,
   2-10  it do so in memory of Weda Dorothea Ringener Winkelmann.
