    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased
    1-3  to commend Reverend Robert L. Asberry, a citizen of Dallas County
    1-4  for many years, for his exceptional accomplishments as a church
    1-5  builder and pastor of Stephen Temple Church of God in Christ in
    1-6  Dallas, Texas; and
    1-7        WHEREAS, Throughout his long career, Reverend Asberry has
    1-8  ministered to the spiritual and physical needs of the members of
    1-9  his congregation; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, In addition to his pastoral duties, Reverend Asberry
   1-11  serves as district superintendent of the North Dallas District of
   1-12  Churches; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, A devoted husband and father, Reverend Asberry
   1-14  is a gifted teacher at E. B. Comstock Middle School in the Dallas
   1-15  Independent School District; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, In acknowledgement of his faithfulness and abilities,
   1-17  the esteemed pastor has been appointed Administrative Assistant to
   1-18  Bishop J. Neaul Haynes, Prelate of the Texas Northeast Jurisdiction
   1-19  and member of the General Board of the Church of God in Christ
   1-20  International; and
   1-21        WHEREAS, Upon Bishop Haynes's appointment of Reverend Asberry,
   1-22  the North Dallas District honored the respected minister for his
   1-23  service and devotion to his calling on April 24, 1993; now,
    2-1  therefore, be it
    2-2        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-3  73rd Legislature, hereby recognize the appointment of
    2-4  Robert L. Asberry to the office of Administrative Assistant to
    2-5  Bishop J. Neaul Haynes and extend best regards for success in his
    2-6  new post; and, be it further
    2-7        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-8  Reverend Asberry as a memento of this important event in his life.
