By: Nelson S.R. No. 1128 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 WHEREAS, Fifty years ago, on May 18, 1943, M. Lois Cooper 1-3 and W. T. McCorkle placed great faith and trust in the future and 1-4 they have been amply rewarded as they recently celebrated their 1-5 golden wedding anniversary; and 1-6 WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably during the years 1-7 of their marriage yet Mr. and Mrs. McCorkle have steadfastly 1-8 embraced traditional family and moral values; and 1-9 WHEREAS, Over the years, they have grown stronger in their 1-10 love and devotion as together they have experienced the joys and 1-11 sorrows of everyday living; and 1-12 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. McCorkle have been blessed with a 1-13 wonderful family; their children, Bill G. and JoAnn McCorkle and 1-14 Jack and Brenda Scott, and their nine grandchildren have been a 1-15 source of much pride and joy; and 1-16 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. McCorkle shared their happiness with 1-17 their family and friends at a reception following a reaffirmation 1-18 of their vows on Saturday, May 22, 1993, at the First United 1-19 Methodist Church of Burleson; and 1-20 WHEREAS, The long and happy union of Mr. and Mrs. McCorkle 1-21 is truly an inspiration to us all; now, therefore, be it 1-22 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-23 73rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to 2-1 Mr. and Mrs. W. T.
