    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, Fifty years ago, on May 29, 1943, Clarence D. Cook
    1-3  and Eula Mae Reeves placed great faith and trust in the future and
    1-4  they have been amply rewarded as they recently celebrated their
    1-5  golden wedding anniversary; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably during the
    1-7  years of their marriage yet Mr. and Mrs. Cook have steadfastly
    1-8  embraced traditional family and moral values; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Over the years, they have grown stronger in their
   1-10  love and devotion as together they have experienced the joys and
   1-11  sorrows of everyday living; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Cook have been blessed with a wonderful
   1-13  family; their children, Dan Cook and Norma Cook Anderson, their five
   1-14  grandchildren, and their five great-grandchildren have been a source
   1-15  of much pride and joy; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Cook are sharing their happiness
   1-17  with their family and friends at a reception hosted by their
   1-18  children on May 29, 1993, at the First Baptist Church of
   1-19  Bridgeport; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, The long and happy union of Mr. and Mrs. Cook is
   1-21  truly an inspiration to us all; now, therefore, be it
   1-22        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-23  73rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to
    2-1  Mr. and Mrs. Clarence D. Cook on their 50th wedding anniversary;
    2-2  and, be it further
    2-3        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-4  this distinguished couple as a memento of this special day in
    2-5  their lives.
