    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, Walter "Buster" Bounds of Center, Texas, was
    1-3  recently named president-elect of the Professional Insurance
    1-4  Agents of Texas, and the Texas Senate is pleased to express its
    1-5  congratulations to him for this significant honor; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, Owner and manager of Bounds Insurance Agency,
    1-7  Incorporated, Mr. Bounds has made notable contributions to
    1-8  his profession and has freely given his time and expertise to
    1-9  innumerable civic organizations in his community; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, Chosen Distinguished Agent three times by the
   1-11  Allstate Insurance Company, Mr. Bounds has been guest speaker
   1-12  for the Dallas regional area and a risk management consultant; as
   1-13  a board member of the Professional Insurance Agents of Texas, he
   1-14  has chaired the education committee and worked on the regulatory
   1-15  liaison board; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, Elected Boss of the Year by the East Texas
   1-17  Insurance Women and the Business and Professional Women,
   1-18  Buster Bounds was also voted Young Man of the Year by the Center
   1-19  Chamber of Commerce where he has served as president and chaired
   1-20  many committees; and
   1-21        WHEREAS, His altruism and professional knowledge have
   1-22  been valuable assets to those who have learned to depend on his
   1-23  willingness to undertake any task; and
    2-1        WHEREAS, Among the groups that have profitted from his
    2-2  guidance are the Boy Scouts of America, the March of Dimes, the
    2-3  Downtown Merchants Association, and the American Cancer Society;
    2-4  and
    2-5        WHEREAS, Admired and respected for his outstanding
    2-6  leadership and integrity, Buster Bounds has earned the gratitude
    2-7  of the citizens of Center and those who have benefitted from his
    2-8  generosity; and
    2-9        WHEREAS, Mr. Bounds received his bachelor of science degree
   2-10  in biology and chemistry from Stephen F. Austin State University;
   2-11  his interest in education is apparent in his work with the Center
   2-12  High School Alumni Association as president and board member; he
   2-13  is a volunteer instructor at Center High School as well as a
   2-14  Defensive Driving Instructor; and
   2-15        WHEREAS, The people of Center are truly indebted to this
   2-16  magnanimous gentleman who has worked tirelessly for others; now,
   2-17  therefore, be it
   2-18        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   2-19  73rd Legislature, hereby commend Walter "Buster" Bounds for his
   2-20  remarkable accomplishments and extend best wishes to him in his new
   2-21  position as president-elect of the Professional Insurance Agents of
   2-22  Texas; and, be it further
   2-23        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
   2-24  Mr. Bounds as a token of the high regard of the Texas Senate.
