    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, It is a genuine pleasure for the Texas Senate to
    1-3  recognize Mark Senterfitt for his outstanding freshman year with
    1-4  The University of Texas baseball team; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, Named to All-State and All-District teams his senior
    1-6  year at Brazoswood High School, Mark was a welcome addition to the
    1-7  Longhorn team this season; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Quickly showing his true mettle, Mark made 12
    1-9  appearances on the mound for the Longhorns his freshman season
   1-10  and started in two games; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, A superb pitcher, Mark has a 3.45 earned run
   1-12  average and performed brilliantly against Texas Tech, pitching five
   1-13  scoreless innings and allowing just three hits, with one walk and
   1-14  one strikeout; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, Mark is a true champion, and his hard work and
   1-16  self-discipline have been amply rewarded; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, Displaying perseverance and talent, Mark personifies
   1-18  American sportsmanship at its finest; now, therefore, be it
   1-19        RESOLVED, That the Senate of State of Texas,
   1-20  73rd Legislature, hereby commend Mark Senterfitt for his
   1-21  continued success on the baseball diamond; and, be it further
   1-22        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for Mark
   1-23  as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
