    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to
    1-3  recognize Chad Blessing for his outstanding freshman year with
    1-4  The University of Texas baseball team; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, A graduate of Brazoswood High School, Chad has been
    1-6  the Longhorn's Number One man at third base, starting 44 of the 60
    1-7  games played; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, His season highlights include going 4 for 6,
    1-9  including one double, three runs scored, and three RBI against
   1-10  Texas A&M in game one of the Southwest Conference tournament;
   1-11  3 for 5 against Miami, with four RBI, two runs scored, and a double;
   1-12  four game-winning RBI during the regular season; and a five-game
   1-13  hitting streak; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, A gifted natural athlete, Chad has perfected his
   1-15  skills and been a superb asset to the Longhorn team; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, In his quest for excellence, Chad has displayed the
   1-17  sportsmanship, discipline, and hard work that are the hallmarks
   1-18  of a true champion; now, therefore, be it
   1-19        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-20  73rd Legislature, hereby commend Chad Blessing for his remarkable
   1-21  season; and, be it further
   1-22        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
   1-23  Chad as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
