                              Senate Committee Report (Unamended)
BACKGROUND

Currently, a Texas brewery cannot legally enter a beer tasting
competition that is not on the premises of the brewery.

PURPOSE

As proposed, H.B. 1763 authorizes Texas brewpubs to enter a product
into an organized beer tasting, competition, or review.

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

It is the committee's opinion that this bill does not grant any
additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or
agency.

person attending the event for consumption on the premises of the
event and discuss with a person attending the event the
manufacturing and characteristics of the beer at a beer tasting.
