                            Senate Committee Report (Substituted)
BACKGROUND

Currently, there is no definition of portable buildings in
reference to transportation laws.

PURPOSE

As proposed, C.S.H.B. 2754 defines "portable building unit" and
sets forth the provisions regarding moving a portable building unit
on a highway, roadway, or street.

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

It is the committee's opinion that this bill does not grant any
additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or
agency.
