BILL ANALYSIS H.B. 3185 By: Munoz 4-24-95 Committee Report (Unamended) BACKGROUND The present limit on travel expenses allowed by the Hidalgo County Drainage District No. 1 is $6,000 per year for travel within the county. It is felt that an increase in the travel allowance is needed. PURPOSE This bill limits travel expenses allowed by the district to $30,000 a fiscal year. RULEMAKING AUTHORITY It is the committee's opinion that this bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, department, agency, or institution. SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS SECTION 1. Requires that the district limit travel expenses to no more than $30,000 a year. SECTION 2. Repeals Chapter 1054, Acts of the 71st Legislature, Regular Session, 1989. SECTION 3. Amends the section by making technical and grammatical changes. SECTION 4. Emergency clause.
