BACKGROUND
Police officers in certain specialized divisions of the Houston

divisions, yet they are not eligible for similar compensation.
PURPOSE
As proposed, S.B. 1067 authorizes a municipality to authorize
assignment pay for police officers in certain municipalities.

additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or
agency.
