BACKGROUND

Currently, organizations and solicitors who work on behalf of
veterans organizations must renew their registrations between
January 1 and 15 of each year.

PURPOSE

As proposed, S.B. 1179 provides that registrations for
organizations and solicitors who work on behalf of veterans
organizations are valid for one year from the time the registration
is issued.

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

It is the committee's opinion that this bill does not grant any
additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or
agency.
