Committee Report (Unamended)
BACKGROUND
Under current law, only the governing boards of navigation
districts containing cities with populations over 375,000 can
exchange land for the purposes and development of the navigation
district when the majority of the board deems it necessary.
PURPOSE
As proposed, S.B. 1632 grants certain powers to the governing board
of a navigation district within which a city with a population of
250,000 is located.
RULEMAKING AUTHORITY
It is the committee's opinion that this bill does not grant any
additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or
agency.

the navigation district.
