                                 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
    1-1                                AN ACT
    1-2  relating to the creation of two judicial districts in Bexar County.
    1-3        BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
    1-4        SECTION 1.  Subchapter C, Chapter 24, Government Code, is
    1-5  amended by adding Sections 24.528 and 24.529 to read as follows:
    1-6        Sec. 24.528.  383RD JUDICIAL DISTRICT (BEXAR COUNTY).  (a)
    1-7  The 383rd Judicial District is composed of Bexar County.
    1-8        (b)  The 383rd Judicial District shall give preference to
    1-9  civil cases.
   1-10        Sec. 24.529.  384TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT (BEXAR COUNTY).  (a)
   1-11  The 384th Judicial District is composed of Bexar County.
   1-12        (b)  The 384th Judicial District shall give preference to
   1-13  civil cases.
   1-14        SECTION 2.  The 383rd and 384th Judicial Districts are
   1-15  created and this Act takes effect September 1, 1995.
   1-16        SECTION 3.  The importance of this legislation and the
   1-17  crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
   1-18  emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
   1-19  constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
   1-20  days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended.
