H.B. No. 1329
    1-1 AN ACT
1-2 relating to cancellation of certain alcoholic beverage licenses for
1-3 failure to pay local fees.
1-4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1-5 SECTION 1. Section 61.36(b), Alcoholic Beverage Code, is
1-6 amended to read as follows:
1-7 (b) The commission or administrator may cancel a license if
1-8 it finds the licensee <permittee> has not paid a fee levied <by a
1-9 city> under this section. A licensee who sells an alcoholic
1-10 beverage without first having paid a fee levied under this section
1-11 commits a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not less than $10 nor
   1-12 more than $200.
1-13 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 1995.
1-14 SECTION 3. The importance of this legislation and the
1-15 crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
1-16 emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
1-17 constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
1-18 days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended.
