    1-1 AN ACT
1-2 relating to the funds allocation advisory committee of the Texas
    1-3 Commission on Fire Protection.
1-4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1-5 SECTION 1. Section 419.054(a), Government Code, is amended
    1-6 to read as follows:
1-7 (a) The funds allocation advisory committee is composed of
1-8 eight <six> members. Three members are appointed by the State
1-9 Firemen's and Fire Marshals' Association of Texas. Three members
1-10 are appointed by the Texas State Association of Fire Fighters. Two
1-11 members are appointed by the Texas Association of Hispanic
1-12 Firefighters. A committee member serves at the will of the
1-13 authority that appointed the member.
1-14 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 1995. As soon
1-15 as possible after the effective date of this Act, the Texas
1-16 Association of Hispanic Firefighters shall appoint two of its
1-17 members to the funds allocation advisory committee of the Texas
   1-18 Commission on Fire Protection.
1-19 SECTION 3. The importance of this legislation and the
1-20 crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
1-21 emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
1-22 constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
1-23 days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended.
