1-7 Amend H.B. No. 1481 by striking SECTION 2 of the bill (House
1-8 Engrossment, page 1, lines 12-21) and substituting the following:
1-9 SECTION 2. Section 25.0452, Government Code, is amended by
1-10 adding Subsection (h) to read as follows:
1-11 (h) A person sitting in the capacity of a judge in County
1-12 Court at Law No. 4 of Collin County may not sit as an assigned
1-13 judge in Bexar, Dallas, Ector, Fort Bend, Harris, Jefferson,
1-14 Lubbock, Midland, Tarrant, or Travis County.

1-16 AN ACT
1-17 relating to the county courts at law of Collin County.
1-18 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1-19 SECTION 1. Section 25.0451, Government Code, is amended to
1-20 read as follows:
1-21 Sec. 25.0451. Collin County. Collin County has the
1-22 following statutory county courts:
1-23 (1) County Court at Law No. 1 of Collin County;
1-24 (2) County Court at Law No. 2 of Collin County; <and>
1-25 (3) County Court at Law No. 3 of Collin County; and
1-26 (4) County Court at Law No. 4 of Collin County.
1-27 SECTION 2. Section 25.0452, Government Code, is amended by
1-28 adding Subsections (a) and (b) to read as follows:
1-29 (a) In addition to the jurisdiction provided by Section
1-30 25.0003 and other law, a county court at law in Collin County has
1-31 the probate jurisdiction provided by Section 25.0021 for statutory
1-32 probate courts.
1-33 (b) A person sitting in the capacity of a judge in County
1-34 Court at Law No. 4 of Collin County may not sit as an assigned
1-35 judge in Bexar, Dallas, Ector, Fort Bend, Harris, Jefferson,
1-36 Lubbock, Midland, Tarrant, or Travis County.
1-37 SECTION 3. Notwithstanding Section 25.0451(4), Government
1-38 Code, as added by this Act, the County Court at Law No. 4 of Collin
1-39 County is created October 1, 1995, or on an earlier date determined
1-40 by the commissioners court by an order entered in its minutes.
1-41 SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 1995.
1-42 SECTION 5. The importance of this legislation and the
1-43 crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
1-44 emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
1-45 constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
1-46 days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended.
