                                 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
    1-1                                AN ACT
    1-2  relating to disposition of certain area acquired or improved by a
    1-3  political subdivision with grants of money from the Texas
    1-4  recreation and parks account.
    1-5        BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
    1-6        SECTION 1.  Section 24.005, Parks and Wildlife Code, is
    1-7  amended by adding Subsection (d) to read as follows:
    1-8        (d)  A political subdivision that accepts and uses money
    1-9  granted under this section to plan, acquire, or develop a park,
   1-10  recreational area, or open space may transfer title to the area to
   1-11  a nongovernmental entity if the instrument of transfer restricts
   1-12  the use of the area to park, recreational, or open space purposes.
   1-13  If the area is used by the entity for another purpose, all right,
   1-14  title, and interest reverts to the political subdivision.
   1-15        SECTION 2.  The importance of this legislation and the
   1-16  crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
   1-17  emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
   1-18  constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
   1-19  days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended,
   1-20  and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its
   1-21  passage, and it is so enacted.
