                                 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
    1-1                                AN ACT
    1-2  relating to a cemetery on land owned by The Texas A&M University
    1-3  System.
    1-4        BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
    1-5        SECTION 1.  Subchapter B, Chapter 86, Education Code, is
    1-6  amended by adding Section 86.24 to read as follows:
    1-7        Sec. 86.24.  CEMETERY.  (a)  The board may dedicate land at
    1-8  Texas A&M University located in the Bush Presidential Library site
    1-9  to be used as a cemetery.
   1-10        (b)  Subchapter C, Chapter 712, Health and Safety Code, does
   1-11  not apply to a cemetery established under this section.
   1-12        (c)  Money appropriated from the general revenue fund may not
   1-13  be used to establish or operate a cemetery established under this
   1-14  section.
   1-15        SECTION 2.  The importance of this legislation and the
   1-16  crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
   1-17  emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
   1-18  constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
   1-19  days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended,
   1-20  and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its
   1-21  passage, and it is so enacted.
