                              HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
    1-1        WHEREAS, May 14, 1995, marks the 50th anniversary of the
    1-2  founding of the Three Way Independent School District, and the
    1-3  occasion is an opportune time to recognize this outstanding
    1-4  organization for the exemplary education it has provided to
    1-5  countless young Texans over the course of the past five decades;
    1-6  and
    1-7        WHEREAS, The district can trace its establishment back to
    1-8  that same date in 1945, when the Wilson Independent School District
    1-9  of Maple, the Watson No. 10 School District, and the Goodland
   1-10  County Line Independent School District were merged to form the
   1-11  Three Way Consolidated County Line Independent School District of
   1-12  Bailey and Cochran Counties, Texas, by order of the Commissioners
   1-13  Court of Bailey County; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, Renamed the Three Way Independent School District on
   1-15  August 24, 1945, the district has since provided generations of
   1-16  Texas schoolchildren with the tools they need to become happy and
   1-17  productive members of society, helping to shape tomorrow's leaders
   1-18  with pride and determination; a shining example of excellence in
   1-19  education, this exceptional district is indeed deserving of special
   1-20  legislative recognition as it celebrates this significant milestone
   1-21  in its rich history; now, therefore, be it
   1-22        RESOLVED, That the 74th Legislature of the State of Texas
   1-23  hereby congratulate the Three Way Independent School District on
   1-24  the 50th anniversary of its founding; and, be it further
    2-1        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-2  prepared for the Three Way Independent School District as an
    2-3  expression of high regard by the Legislature of the State of Texas.
