                                  A JOINT RESOLUTION
    1-1  proposing a constitutional amendment relating to regulation by the
    1-2  legislature of a prosecutor's preparation for trial.
    1-3        BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
    1-4        SECTION 1.  Article I, Texas Constitution, is amended by
    1-5  adding Section 10a to read as follows:
    1-6        Sec. 10a.  The legislature may enact laws regulating a
    1-7  prosecutor's preparation for trial.
    1-8        SECTION 2.  This proposed amendment shall be submitted to the
    1-9  voters at an election to be held on November 7, 1995.  The ballot
   1-10  shall be printed to provide for voting for or against the
   1-11  proposition:  "The constitutional amendment permitting the
   1-12  legislature to regulate a prosecutor's preparation for trial."
