                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The Graham High School Lady Blues golf team has
    1-2  attained the highest plateau in its quest for excellence, winning
    1-3  the 1994 University Interscholastic League (UIL) Class 3A girls'
    1-4  state golf tournament; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, A perennial golf powerhouse, the Lady Blues combined
    1-6  their experience in state tournament play with an unquenchable will
    1-7  to win and deservedly claimed the crown that had eluded the team in
    1-8  five previous trips to the championship tournament; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Although faced with talented opposition and
   1-10  inclement weather, team members Leanne Jones, Sarah Murray, Kala
   1-11  Freeman, Julie Murray, and Sara Parry overcame every obstacle to
   1-12  ensure that the dream of a coveted state championship for Graham
   1-13  High School was realized; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, Coach Lonnie Gaylor has provided his talented young
   1-15  charges with exceptional guidance, and his tireless efforts in this
   1-16  regard have molded the Lady Blues into one of the state's premier
   1-17  golf teams; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, These exemplary young women and their coach have
   1-19  been a tremendous source of pride for the students and faculty at
   1-20  Graham High School and their many supporters in the community, and
   1-21  their outstanding achievements rightfully have earned them special
   1-22  legislative recognition; now, therefore, be it
   1-23        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
   1-24  Legislature hereby congratulate coach Lonnie Gaylor and the Graham
    2-1  High School Lady Blues golf squad on capturing the 1994 UIL Class
    2-2  3A state championship and extend to them best wishes for continued
    2-3  success in the future; and, be it further
    2-4        RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared
    2-5  for the coach and team members and that a copy be prepared for
    2-6  prominent display at Graham High School as an expression of high
    2-7  regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
