                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The Austin Jaycees is widely acclaimed and esteemed
    1-2  for its success in developing leadership and in nurturing good
    1-3  citizenship and participation in community and state governmental
    1-4  affairs among its members; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, To further educate its members in the process of
    1-6  democratic government, both in theory and in practice, this worthy
    1-7  organization will sponsor a mock legislative session at the State
    1-8  Capitol on January 21, 1995; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, The members of this chamber heartily endorse the
   1-10  goals and ideals of the Austin Jaycees' mock legislative session as
   1-11  a means of developing a citizenry prepared to participate fully in
   1-12  our nation's political process; now, therefore, be it
   1-13        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
   1-14  Legislature hereby grant the Austin Jaycees, in accordance with
   1-15  house rules and with the policies and procedures of the House
   1-16  Committee on Administration, permission to use the house chamber of
   1-17  the State Capitol on January 21, 1995, for the purpose of holding
   1-18  its mock legislative session, provided that the house of
   1-19  representatives is not in session.
