                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The passing of Mildred Greene Richards on January
    1-2  13, 1995, at the age of 89, has brought a great loss to the many
    1-3  friends and relatives of this beloved woman; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, Born in Durant, Oklahoma, in Indian Territory, she
    1-5  lived for the past 60 years in Fort Worth, where her caring nature
    1-6  and compassion for others touched the lives of a great many people;
    1-7  and
    1-8        WHEREAS, A dedicated homemaker and cherished member of the
    1-9  community, she brought joy and happiness into the lives of her
   1-10  family, who regarded her as an unfailing source of affection and
   1-11  inspiration, and made many friends over the years through her
   1-12  involvement in United Methodist Women and the Order of the Eastern
   1-13  Star; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, Mildred Richards was a warm and spirited woman who
   1-15  was dearly loved by her family and many friends; though her
   1-16  presence will be deeply missed, her memory will surely live on in
   1-17  the hearts of all who were privileged to share her love and
   1-18  friendship throughout the years; now, therefore, be it
   1-19        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
   1-20  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Mildred Greene
   1-21  Richards and extend deepest sympathy to the members of her family;
   1-22  to her daughters, Sandra Richards Dear, the wife of our esteemed
   1-23  colleague, Representative Homer Dear, and Patricia Richards Miller;
   1-24  to her son, R. C. "Dick" Richards, Jr.; and to her six
    2-1  grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and, be it further
    2-2        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-3  prepared for the members of her family and that when the Texas
    2-4  House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of
    2-5  Mildred Greene Richards.
