                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The wedding anniversary of two outstanding Texans
    1-2  who have shared 50 happy and rewarding years of marriage is truly a
    1-3  memorable occasion worthy of special recognition; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, Sebastian C. and Rogelia H. Hernandez will
    1-5  commemorate one such special occasion in their lives when they
    1-6  celebrate their golden wedding anniversary on February 4, 1995; and
    1-7        WHEREAS, United in matrimony in 1945, the couple has enjoyed
    1-8  an enduring relationship that has grown in love and mutual respect
    1-9  with each passing year; and
   1-10        WHEREAS,  Making their home in various locales in South
   1-11  Texas, Mr. and Mrs. Hernandez have been exemplary members of each
   1-12  community in which they have resided; in the early years of their
   1-13  marriage, Mr. Hernandez worked at Laredo Air Force Base before
   1-14  relocating with his family to San Antonio, where he enjoyed a
   1-15  40-year career at Kelly Air Force Base; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, His gracious wife also has been well regarded as a
   1-17  devoted wife and mother, and her unconditional love, nurturing, and
   1-18  support have guided her family throughout life's endeavors and have
   1-19  been a source of continuing inspiration for a great many people;
   1-20  and
   1-21        WHEREAS, These loving individuals are the parents of four
   1-22  fine children, Maria Louisa, Sebastian, Rufino, and Carlos, and
   1-23  their family has grown in recent years to include 11 grandchildren
   1-24  and 11 great-grandchildren; and
    2-1        WHEREAS, For 50 years, Mr. and Mrs. Hernandez have shared a
    2-2  warm and affectionate union filled with many happy times and
    2-3  cherished family memories; built on a solid foundation of mutual
    2-4  trust and support, their marriage has been a source of inspiration
    2-5  to the many friends and relatives of this fortunate couple; now,
    2-6  therefore, be it
    2-7        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
    2-8  Legislature hereby congratulate Sebastian C. and Rogelia H.
    2-9  Hernandez on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and
   2-10  extend to them best wishes for continued joy and happiness; and, be
   2-11  it further
   2-12        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
   2-13  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Hernandez as an expression of high regard
   2-14  by the Texas House of Representatives.
