                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, Patsy Arnold was accorded a great honor on January
    1-2  26, 1995, when she was named Woman of the Year by the Galena Park
    1-3  Chamber of Commerce at its annual banquet; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, A native Houstonian, Ms. Arnold has been a co-owner
    1-5  of Galena Park Motors since 1968 and has supported the chamber of
    1-6  commerce and other community organizations throughout the years;
    1-7  and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Known as an energetic and dedicated
    1-9  behind-the-scenes worker, Ms. Arnold has generously given of both
   1-10  her time and her resources to the Galena Park Chamber of Commerce;
   1-11  she also has contributed to this fine organization by serving as
   1-12  its treasurer in 1994, and she previously completed a term as its
   1-13  secretary; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, Currently, Ms. Arnold resides in Channelview, where
   1-15  she further works for the betterment of her community as a member
   1-16  of the Rotary Club; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, In addition to being an astute businesswoman,
   1-18  Ms. Arnold also is a loving and devoted mother; she enjoys a warm
   1-19  and supportive relationship with her daughter, Tammy, and they take
   1-20  great pride in each other's accomplishments; and
   1-21        WHEREAS, Patsy Arnold's outstanding service to her friends,
   1-22  colleagues, and neighbors in the Houston area sets a noble example
   1-23  of volunteerism for others to follow, and her inspiring record of
   1-24  community involvement and civic leadership is indeed worthy of high
    2-1  praise and recognition; now, therefore, be it
    2-2        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
    2-3  Legislature hereby congratulate Patsy Arnold on being named Woman
    2-4  of the Year by the Galena Park Chamber of Commerce and extend to
    2-5  her warmest best wishes for many more years of continued success;
    2-6  and, be it further
    2-7        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-8  prepared for Ms. Arnold as an expression of high regard by the
    2-9  Texas House of Representatives.
