                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, Harry Young has been named Star of the Month by
    1-2  Southwest Airlines and this special recognition is indeed well
    1-3  deserved; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, A valued employee of the airline for nearly two
    1-5  decades, Mr. Young has witnessed its phenomenal growth from an
    1-6  airline with service to four cities to one that serves 44 cities,
    1-7  and it is employees like this fine gentleman who have made
    1-8  Southwest the resounding success it is today; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, In his important role as an operations agent,
   1-10  Mr. Young is responsible for calculating the weight and balance of
   1-11  the aircraft and its contents, as well as collecting boarding
   1-12  passes, and his knowledgeable attention to detail and trademark
   1-13  conviviality have earned him the lasting regard of colleagues and
   1-14  travelers alike; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, During his leisure time, Mr. Young is a talented
   1-16  writer who has nearly completed his first book, entitled Wisdom and
   1-17  Good Virtues; he also enjoys traveling, scuba diving, and
   1-18  photography, and is supported in all his endeavors by his charming
   1-19  wife, DiAnne, who is herself a former Southwest employee; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, Harry Young's outstanding contributions to Southwest
   1-21  Airlines help to make air travel a safer and more enjoyable
   1-22  experience for all concerned, and it is fitting that he be honored
   1-23  for his continuing efforts in this regard; now, therefore, be it
   1-24        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
    2-1  Legislature hereby congratulate Harry Young on being named the
    2-2  Southwest Airlines Star of the Month and extend to him sincere best
    2-3  wishes for continued success and happiness in the years to come;
    2-4  and, be it further
    2-5        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-6  prepared for Mr. Young as an expression of high regard by the Texas
    2-7  House of Representatives.
