                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor
    1-2  Benjamin W.  Bergh of Baytown on his outstanding achievement in
    1-3  attaining the distinguished rank of Eagle Scout; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, Earning the right to wear the prestigious silver
    1-5  insignia denoting an Eagle Scout is a truly significant
    1-6  accomplishment and indeed represents the highest honor to which a
    1-7  scout can aspire; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Active in the scouting program for several years,
    1-9  this exceptional young man has demonstrated his worthiness of this
   1-10  rare honor by exemplifying scouting's highest ideals and applying
   1-11  the habits and values developed through his participation in the
   1-12  Boy Scouts of America to distinguish himself in all of his
   1-13  endeavors; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, He also has exhibited the leadership, perseverance,
   1-15  and dedication to community service that are the hallmarks of an
   1-16  Eagle Scout, and by undertaking and successfully completing a
   1-17  noteworthy service project that will provide a lasting benefit to
   1-18  the community, he completed the final requirement for his
   1-19  acceptance into the ranks of the Eagle Scouts; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Bergh has been a continuing source of
   1-21  pride for his parents and an inspirational example to his fellow
   1-22  scouts, and it gives the members of this body great pleasure to
   1-23  join them and all his friends in bestowing special praise and
   1-24  recognition on this deserving young man for his meritorious
    2-1  achievements; now, therefore, be it
    2-2        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
    2-3  Legislature hereby congratulate Benjamin W. Bergh on his attainment
    2-4  of scouting's highest honor and his acceptance into the Eagle Scout
    2-5  ranks; and, be it further
    2-6        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-7  prepared for Eagle Scout Bergh as an expression of high esteem by
    2-8  the Texas House of Representatives.
