No. 230 74R6017 SAJ-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor 1-2 Anthionette Woods-Hardeman for the many significant contributions 1-3 she has made to public education in the Dallas community through 1-4 her service to the Dallas Independent School District Council of 1-5 Parent-Teacher Associations; and 1-6 WHEREAS, Deeply committed to child advocacy issues, 1-7 Mrs. Woods-Hardeman has contributed her considerable expertise as a 1-8 member of the Dallas school district's Council of PTAs for 37 1-9 years; she has worked tirelessly to seek adequate laws and 1-10 community support for local youths since the 1940s; and 1-11 WHEREAS, She has continued to improve the educational 1-12 opportunities in her community through more than half a century of 1-13 exemplary service to numerous local PTAs; an esteemed member of 1-14 five Dallas associations and the Star Spangled PTA, she also holds 1-15 memberships in organizations in California, Las Vegas, and Hawaii 1-16 and is an honorary member of the European Countries PTA; and 1-17 WHEREAS, Well regarded by colleagues throughout her chosen 1-18 field, she has shared her extensive knowledge of educational issues 1-19 at numerous workshops at the local, state, and national levels; in 1-20 addition, this energetic and enthusiastic lady has not missed a 1-21 single state or national PTA convention; and 1-22 WHEREAS, A warm and caring individual, she always has made 1-23 time in her busy schedule to assist and offer fellowship to her 1-24 colleagues, and over the years, she has earned the affection, 2-1 respect, and admiration of all who know her; and 2-2 WHEREAS, Mrs. Woods-Hardeman is a dedicated professional who 2-3 has diligently worked to improve the quality of education in her 2-4 community, and her exceptional commitment is truly worthy of 2-5 special praise and recognition; now, therefore, be it 2-6 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas 2-7 Legislature hereby commend Anthionette Woods-Hardeman for her 2-8 outstanding service to the Dallas Independent School District 2-9 Council of PTAs and extend to her best wishes in all her future 2-10 endeavors; and, be it further 2-11 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-12 prepared for Mrs. Woods-Hardeman as an expression of high regard by 2-13 the Texas House of Representatives.
