R E S O L U T I O N
1-1 WHEREAS, On December 4, 1994, Robert Conroy of Scout Troop
1-2 1865 received well-deserved recognition for his meritorious
1-3 achievements in scouting when his Eagle Scout board of review
1-4 approved his elevation to the rank of Eagle Scout and conferred on
1-5 him the privilege of donning the coveted silver eagle badge; and
1-6 WHEREAS, Earning the right to wear this prestigious silver
1-7 insignia denoting an Eagle Scout is a truly significant
1-8 accomplishment and indeed represents the highest honor to which a
1-9 scout can aspire; and
1-10 WHEREAS, Active in scouting for several years and steadily
1-11 working his way up through the ranks, this exceptional young man
1-12 has amply proven his worthiness of this great honor by exemplifying
1-13 scouting's highest ideals and persevering in the pursuit of his
1-14 goals with noteworthy dedication; and
1-15 WHEREAS, In addition to earning numerous merit badges by
1-16 demonstrating his knowledge and mastery of skill in a wide range of
1-17 fields, Eagle Scout Conroy has served his fellow scouts in Troop
1-18 1865 in a variety of positions of responsibility, thereby
1-19 demonstrating the outstanding leadership ability that is a
1-20 requisite characteristic of all Eagle Scouts; and
1-21 WHEREAS, His superb record of achievement in scouting is
1-22 matched by the equally impressive accomplishments that have
1-23 characterized his involvement at school and in the community, where
1-24 he has applied the habits and values developed through his
2-1 participation in scouting activities to excel in all of his
2-2 endeavors; and
2-3 WHEREAS, A gifted student at Cy-Fair High School in the
2-4 Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District, he has distinguished
2-5 himself as an outstanding scholar and has achieved the top ranking
2-6 in his class; and
2-7 WHEREAS, Gifted, dedicated, and highly responsible, Eagle
2-8 Scout Conroy has been a source of great pride to his parents and an
2-9 inspiration to his fellow scouts in Troop 1865, and his
2-10 achievements in scouting are indeed worthy of special praise and
2-11 recognition; now, therefore, be it
2-12 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
2-13 Legislature hereby congratulate Robert Conroy on his noteworthy
2-14 accomplishment in attaining the rank of Eagle Scout and earning the
2-15 right to wear the silver insignia symbolic of his achievements as a
2-16 member of the Boy Scouts of America; and, be it further
2-17 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2-18 prepared for Eagle Scout Conroy as an expression of high esteem by
2-19 the Texas House of Representatives.
