                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The wedding anniversary of two outstanding
    1-2  individuals who have shared 50 happy and rewarding years of
    1-3  marriage is truly a memorable occasion worthy of special
    1-4  recognition; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, Girard and Barbara Sisson will commemorate one such
    1-6  golden event on March 3, 1995, when they will be joined by family
    1-7  and friends for a celebration of their half-century of mutual
    1-8  affection and devotion; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Barbara, the daughter of Harry and Ina Hitz, and
   1-10  Girard, the son of Eugene and Dorothy Sisson, were united in
   1-11  marriage on March 3, 1945, in New Haven, Connecticut, and
   1-12  throughout their years together each has supported the other in all
   1-13  their many endeavors; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, Their enduring union has been blessed with three
   1-15  fine children, Judy Hawley, Jennifer Thompson, and Janet Emler,
   1-16  each of whom has benefited from their parents' unfailing love and
   1-17  patient guidance; the welcome addition of seven grandchildren has
   1-18  further enhanced this close-knit family's happiness; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, The Sissons have earned the lasting esteem and
   1-20  affection of their many friends and neighbors, and it is indeed
   1-21  appropriate that they be honored as they celebrate this significant
   1-22  milestone in their marriage; now, therefore, be it
   1-23        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
   1-24  Legislature hereby congratulate Girard and Barbara Sisson on the
    2-1  momentous occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend
    2-2  best wishes for continued happiness in the future; and, be it
    2-3  further
    2-4        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-5  prepared for Girard and Barbara Sisson as an expression of high
    2-6  regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
