No. 300 R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, the Whitesboro High School Girls Basketball Team has 1-2 achieved great successes this season including victories at the 1-3 District, Bi-District, Area and Regional levels; and 1-4 WHEREAS, said victories have earned these athletes a berth in 1-5 the State Semi-Final game; and 1-6 WHEREAS, this team of talented high school students, also 1-7 known as the LadyCats, have shown the dedication and strength to 1-8 achieve such a level; and 1-9 WHEREAS, facing fierce competition, team members Lindsay 1-10 Greear, Macey Griner, Sabrina Razzak, Kerri Meador, Karri Wright, 1-11 Amy Bowley, Kera Alexander, Amanda Deck, Lindsey Hargett, and Lisa 1-12 Winborne overcame all obstacles to ensure a victory; and 1-13 WHEREAS, Coach Kevin Cook, assisted by Randy Denney and 1-14 Elizabeth Waits, had provided exceptional guidance for this team 1-15 and has brought the team back to Semi-Finals for the first time 1-16 since 1954; and 1-17 WHEREAS, these exemplary young women and their coaches have 1-18 been a tremendous source of pride for the students and faculty at 1-19 Whitesboro High School and their many supporters in the community; 1-20 now, therefore, be it 1-21 RESOLVED, that the House of Representatives of the 74th 1-22 Legislature hereby congratulate Coach Kevin Cook, Assistant Coaches 1-23 Randy Denney and Elizabeth Waits, and the Whitesboro LadyCats on 2-1 entering the State Semi-Finals and to extend to them best wishes on 2-2 capturing the Championship; and be it further 2-3 RESOLVED, that official copies of this resolution be prepared 2-4 for the coach and the team members and that a copy be prepared for 2-5 prominent display at Whitesboro High School as an expression of 2-6 high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
