                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The Whitesboro High School girls' basketball team
    1-2  has achieved great successes this season, including victories at
    1-3  the district, bi-district, area, and regional levels; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, These victories have earned these athletes a berth
    1-5  in the state semifinal game; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, This team of talented high school students, also
    1-7  known as the LadyCats, has shown the dedication and strength to
    1-8  achieve such a level; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Facing fierce competition, team members Lindsay
   1-10  Greear, Macey Griner, Sabrina Razzak, Kerri Meador, Karri Wright,
   1-11  Amy Bowley, Kera Alexander, Amanda Deck, Lindsey Hargett, and Lisa
   1-12  Winborne overcame all obstacles to ensure a victory; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, Coach Kevin Cook, assisted by Randy Denney and
   1-14  Elizabeth Waits, provided exceptional guidance and brought the team
   1-15  back to the semifinals for the first time since 1954; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, These exemplary young women and their coaches have
   1-17  been a tremendous source of pride for the students and faculty at
   1-18  Whitesboro High School and their many supporters in the community;
   1-19  now, therefore, be it
   1-20        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
   1-21  Legislature hereby congratulate coach Kevin Cook, assistant coaches
   1-22  Randy Denney and Elizabeth Waits, and the Whitesboro LadyCats on
   1-23  entering the state semifinals and extend to them best wishes in
    2-1  capturing the championship; and, be it further
    2-2        RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared
    2-3  for the coaches and the team members and that a copy be prepared
    2-4  for prominent display at Whitesboro High School as an expression of
    2-5  high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
