                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, Elizabeth Stroberg was recently honored in a
    1-2  "Celebration of Life" reception held at the Rebekah Baines Johnson
    1-3  Retirement Center as one of a number of remarkable women ranging in
    1-4  age from 90 to 98 who have not only lived life, but have embraced
    1-5  it to the fullest; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, Ms. Stroberg's family moved from South Carolina to
    1-7  Texas when it was still a republic, and Ms. Stroberg was born in
    1-8  the community of Center on July 27, 1903; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, A lifelong resident of the state she is proud to
   1-10  call home, Ms. Stroberg spent two decades in San Antonio and has
   1-11  traveled extensively over the years, having visited 10 countries in
   1-12  Europe; she also has enjoyed pursuing a wealth of hobbies,
   1-13  including playing the piano, crocheting, knitting, painting, and
   1-14  taking  walks for recreation; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, When asked what advice she would pass on to the
   1-16  younger generation, Ms. Stroberg responded with these words, "Be
   1-17  happy.  Do good work," a philosophy that has earned her a special
   1-18  place in the hearts of all who have been privileged to share her
   1-19  love throughout the years; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, Elizabeth Stroberg is a beloved member of her
   1-21  community whose kindness, warmth, and generosity have touched the
   1-22  lives of countless people, and it is a privilege to recognize her
   1-23  at this time; now, therefore, be it
   1-24        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
    2-1  Legislature hereby honor Elizabeth Stroberg and extend warmest best
    2-2  wishes to her for continued good fortune and happiness; and, be it
    2-3  further
    2-4        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-5  prepared for Ms. Stroberg as an expression of highest regard by the
    2-6  Texas House of Representatives.
