H.R. No. 326 R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, Lindy Lindeman was recently honored in a 1-2 "Celebration of Life" reception held at the Rebekah Baines Johnson 1-3 Retirement Center as one of a number of remarkable women ranging in 1-4 age from 90 to 98 who have not only lived life but have embraced it 1-5 to the fullest; and 1-6 WHEREAS, A native Texan, she was born in Liberty Hill on 1-7 October 2, 1900, and remained a lifelong resident of the state she 1-8 is proud to call home; in her youth, Mrs. Lindeman married a Bee 1-9 County farmer and has spent the last 56 years of her life in 1-10 Austin, where the couple opened a fresh mayonnaise business; and 1-11 WHEREAS, Mrs. Lindeman has traveled extensively over the 1-12 years, having explored five European countries and nearly every 1-13 state in the nation; she also has enjoyed pursuing a wealth of 1-14 hobbies, including crocheting, knitting, sewing, gardening, and 1-15 volunteer work; and 1-16 WHEREAS, When asked to reflect on her life, Mrs. Lindeman 1-17 responded with these words, "I love life, and I think it's a 1-18 wonderful thing that we are healthy and can live it. I like 1-19 people," a sentiment that has earned her a special place in the 1-20 hearts of all who have been privileged to share her love throughout 1-21 the years; and 1-22 WHEREAS, Lindy Lindeman is a beloved member of her community 1-23 whose kindness, warmth, and generosity have touched the lives of 1-24 countless people, and it is a privilege to recognize her at this 2-1 time; now, therefore, be it 2-2 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas 2-3 Legislature hereby honor Lindy Lindeman and extend warmest best 2-4 wishes to her for continued good fortune and happiness; and, be it 2-5 further 2-6 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-7 prepared for Mrs. Lindeman as an expression of highest regard by 2-8 the Texas House of Representatives.
