                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives proudly pays
    1-2  tribute to the members of the Texas Federation of Republican Women
    1-3  for their exceptional efforts on behalf of the candidates of the
    1-4  Republican Party; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, The members of the Texas Federation of Republican
    1-6  Women have spent time and energy on the political education of
    1-7  women and have generously donated countless hours to the campaigns
    1-8  of Republican Party candidates; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, The dedication, hard work, and untold hours of
   1-10  volunteer service by these remarkable women helped ensure the
   1-11  recent election of the candidates to city, county, state, and
   1-12  national offices; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, Their outstanding accomplishments have increased the
   1-14  political awareness and effectiveness of thousands of women by
   1-15  persuading them that their participation in the political process
   1-16  is important and able to make a difference; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, Organized 17 years after the formation of the
   1-18  National Federation of Republican Women in 1938, the Texas
   1-19  Federation of Republican Women is widely recognized as one of the
   1-20  largest women's political groups in Texas; and
   1-21        WHEREAS, Under the able guidance of its leaders, the Texas
   1-22  Federation of Republican Women will continue to assure a leadership
   1-23  role for women in the Republican Party; now, therefore, be it
   1-24        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
    2-1  Legislature hereby recognize the members of the Texas Federation of
    2-2  Republican Women and commend them for their notable
    2-3  accomplishments; and, be it further
    2-4        RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be prepared as an
    2-5  expression of the high regard of the Texas House of
    2-6  Representatives.
