                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The Texas Alliance for Minorities in Engineering,
    1-2  Inc. (TAME) is dedicated to furthering the technical career
    1-3  aspirations of deserving females and historically underrepresented
    1-4  minority youth of Texas; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, TAME has been providing educational services to the
    1-6  youth of Texas for nearly 20 years; and
    1-7        WHEREAS, TAME is largely supported by voluntary contributions
    1-8  from the Texas business community; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, The programs and projects of TAME are carried out by
   1-10  the voluntary activities of interested Texans through local TAME
   1-11  alliances in more than 20 areas of the state; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, Thousands of young Texans have benefited through the
   1-13  experiences and information provided by the TAME program; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, The TAME program is the kind of worthy voluntary
   1-15  program that should be acknowledged and recognized during National
   1-16  Engineers Week 1995; now, therefore, be it
   1-17        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
   1-18  Legislature hereby commend the staff and volunteers of the Texas
   1-19  Alliance for Minorities in Engineering, Inc., as well as the Texas
   1-20  businesses that have provided financial support and volunteer
   1-21  employee assistance to this worthy program; and, be it further
   1-22        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
   1-23  prepared for the Texas Alliance for Minorities in Engineering,
   1-24  Inc., as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of
    2-1  Representatives.
