                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor
    1-2  Bill Brown on the occasion of his retirement from the
    1-3  Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District, drawing to a
    1-4  close a distinguished career in the field of public education that
    1-5  has spanned 31 years; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, He has positively affected issues that are vital to
    1-7  the school district's financial well-being as an appraiser and has
    1-8  served with integrity and distinction as tax assessor-collector for
    1-9  the past 14 years, working tirelessly to ensure fair and equitable
   1-10  property value assessments throughout the area; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, Well regarded throughout his profession, Mr. Brown
   1-12  also has worked for the benefit of the Tarrant County Education
   1-13  District and has gone on to affect education issues statewide
   1-14  through his work on Senate Bill 1925 in the 73rd legislative
   1-15  session, which addressed the interest paid on tax refunds from
   1-16  court decisions; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, Throughout his distinguished tenure, he has never
   1-18  lost sight of his most important concern: the students of the
   1-19  district; under his inspired leadership, the economic well-being of
   1-20  the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District has remained
   1-21  strong and steady; and
   1-22        WHEREAS, Mr. Brown looks forward to an active retirement and
   1-23  plans to enjoy his favorite pastimes, which include visiting with
   1-24  his many friends throughout the community and sharing with them his
    2-1  accomplished culinary skills as a chili cook extraordinaire; and
    2-2        WHEREAS, Mr. Brown's outstanding contributions throughout his
    2-3  years in public service have significantly benefited the people of
    2-4  Texas, and his exceptional commitment is indeed deserving of
    2-5  special recognition; now, therefore, be it
    2-6        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
    2-7  Legislature hereby honor Bill Brown for his noteworthy service to
    2-8  the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District and extend to
    2-9  him warmest best wishes for a happy and rewarding retirement; and,
   2-10  be it further
   2-11        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
   2-12  prepared for Mr. Brown as an expression of high esteem by the Texas
   2-13  House of Representatives.
