                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The Legislative Black Caucus has played a vital role
    1-2  in state government and lawmaking by serving as a voice to
    1-3  articulate concerns of importance to the state's African-American
    1-4  community; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, The caucus has requested use of the house chamber on
    1-6  April 21, 1995, for use by its Education Committee to meet with
    1-7  citizens from across the state and to discuss issues pending before
    1-8  the current legislature; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, It is appropriate that the Texas House of
   1-10  Representatives lend its support to public educational forums
   1-11  regarding the legislature's work so that Texans may be fully
   1-12  apprised of matters affecting their lives and aspirations; now,
   1-13  therefore, be it
   1-14        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
   1-15  Legislature hereby grant permission to the Education Committee of
   1-16  the Legislative Black Caucus, in accordance with house rules and
   1-17  policies of the Committee on House Administration, to use the house
   1-18  chamber on April 21, 1995, for a public colloquium on pending
   1-19  legislation, provided that the house is not in session.
