                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, March 31, 1995, marks the occasion of the
    1-2  rededication of Moffett Field in Snyder, and that auspicious event
    1-3  is one in which the entire community can take pride; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, Through the tireless efforts of local volunteers,
    1-5  Moffett Field has been transformed from an aging playing field into
    1-6  one of the finest baseball diamonds in the state; and
    1-7        WHEREAS, This exceptional facility now boasts an improved
    1-8  infield that uses the same turf as The Ball Park at Arlington and
    1-9  new bullpens for both the home and visiting teams; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, Levelland High School and Snyder High School will
   1-11  have the distinction of inaugurating this newly renovated field
   1-12  following the ceremonies honoring its rededication; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, Among the many individuals and organizations who
   1-14  labored ceaselessly to complete this worthy project are the Ronald
   1-15  McDonald Children's Charities of the Big Country/Concho Valley;
   1-16  Grimmett Bros., Inc.; Frankie Grimmett; and John Hernandez; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, Providing young Texans with the opportunity to
   1-18  exhibit their athletic skills in a milieu which inspires them to
   1-19  achieve their utmost is truly a worthy endeavor, and those who
   1-20  volunteer their time and energies to provide such an opportunity
   1-21  are indeed worthy of special legislative recognition; now,
   1-22  therefore, be it
   1-23        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
   1-24  Legislature hereby honor those individuals who participated in the
    2-1  renovation of Moffett Field on the momentous occasion of the
    2-2  field's rededication; and, be it further
    2-3        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-4  prepared for prominent display at Moffett Field as an expression of
    2-5  high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
