                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, March 9, 1995, was a momentous day in the lives of
    1-2  Matthew Scott Howard and Sam Ayers III for on that day they each
    1-3  celebrated birthdays of special significance; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, The son of Alan and Melinda Howard, Matthew became
    1-5  18 with the passage of this year's birthday, having been born on
    1-6  March 9, 1977, at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, and he will achieve
    1-7  another important rite of passage later this spring when he
    1-8  graduates from W. T. White High School in Dallas; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, His maternal grandfather, Sam Ayers III, was born in
   1-10  the community of Hutchins on March 9, 1915, and recently marked the
   1-11  passage of his 80th birthday; the beloved grandfather of three
   1-12  children, Mr. Ayers adores them all and acknowledges Matthew as the
   1-13  greatest birthday present he ever received over the course of his
   1-14  long and fruitful life; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, In addition to sharing the same birthday, Mr. Howard
   1-16  and Mr. Ayers share a common passion for gardening and baseball as
   1-17  well as a great affection for each other that spans the generations
   1-18  and serves as a constant source of joy to their close-knit circle
   1-19  of family and friends; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, It gives the members of this chamber great pleasure
   1-21  to acknowledge these fine Texans on this special occasion; now,
   1-22  therefore, be it
   1-23        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
   1-24  Legislature hereby congratulate Matthew Scott Howard and Sam Ayers
    2-1  III on their birthday and extend to them sincere best wishes for
    2-2  continued good fortune and happiness in the future; and, be it
    2-3  further
    2-4        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-5  prepared for Mr. Howard and Mr. Ayers as an expression of high
    2-6  regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
