                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, Doyle Krueger has been named the 1994 Realtor of the
    1-2  Year by his peers in the Texas Association of Realtors, and this
    1-3  special recognition is indeed well deserved; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, A founding partner in Towne & Country Realtors of
    1-5  New Braunfels, this accomplished gentleman was graduated from Texas
    1-6  A&M University with a degree in business administration and has
    1-7  been active in the real estate profession for nearly four decades
    1-8  since earning his salesman's license in 1957; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Mr. Krueger has enjoyed a highly successful career
   1-10  in New Braunfels and has twice been honored as the local Realtor of
   1-11  the Year by the New Braunfels Board of Realtors, an organization he
   1-12  served in the  past as president; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, Having earned his broker's license in 1965 and his
   1-14  designation as a graduate of the Realtors Institute in 1972,
   1-15  Mr. Krueger has won the lasting regard of his colleagues, who have
   1-16  chosen him to fill key roles for the industry at the national
   1-17  level; in his current post as chairman of the National Association
   1-18  of Realtors legal review committee, he has provided vital
   1-19  leadership in an array of complex issues facing Realtors in the
   1-20  practice of their profession today; and
   1-21        WHEREAS, Equally accomplished in the civic arena, he has
   1-22  compiled an extraordinary record of service to his community,
   1-23  greatly benefiting the area's image, economy, and citizens through
   1-24  the years as a president of the New Braunfels Wurstfest
    2-1  Association, the Sophienburg Museum Association, and the Greater
    2-2  New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce, and he currently is serving as a
    2-3  member of the steering committee for the New Braunfels
    2-4  Sesquicentennial Commission; and
    2-5        WHEREAS, Dedicating his time to helping the sick and elderly
    2-6  as well, this distinguished professional has ensured that the needs
    2-7  of these important citizens will receive appropriate attention
    2-8  through his leadership as chairman of the board of McKenna Memorial
    2-9  Hospital and as a board member of Eden Home for the Aged, Inc.; and
   2-10        WHEREAS, Other local organizations that have benefited
   2-11  substantially from Mr. Krueger's talent and abilities include New
   2-12  Braunfels's master plan committee and the Texas legislative
   2-13  conference arrangements committee; and
   2-14        WHEREAS, In recognition of his vast contributions to his
   2-15  community, Mr. Krueger was honored with the Besserung Award in 1981
   2-16  as New Braunfels's Outstanding Citizen and, in 1984, was inducted
   2-17  into the New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce Hall of Honor; and
   2-18        WHEREAS, On the homefront, he is devoted to his family and
   2-19  enjoys a loving and rewarding marriage to his wife, Roxolin, that
   2-20  has produced two children, Steven and Katherine, each of whom has
   2-21  brought their parents great pride and joy through their extensive
   2-22  achievements; and
   2-23        WHEREAS, Doyle Krueger has long given generously of his time
   2-24  to benefit his community through his contributions as a businessman
   2-25  and civic leader, and he has endeared himself to area citizens with
   2-26  his many exemplary deeds; in light of his significant achievements,
   2-27  the members of this chamber take pleasure in recognizing him for
    3-1  his exceptional service on the occasion of his most recent
    3-2  accomplishment; now, therefore, be it
    3-3        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
    3-4  Legislature hereby congratulate Doyle Krueger on being named the
    3-5  1994 Realtor of the Year by the Texas Association of Realtors and
    3-6  extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success and
    3-7  happiness in the years to come; and, be it further
    3-8        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    3-9  prepared for Mr. Krueger as an expression of high regard by the
   3-10  Texas House of Representatives.
