                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The House of Representatives of the State of Texas
    1-2  is proud to foster continued expressions of amity and goodwill
    1-3  between the United States and Mexico; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, A sharing of their cultural and legal ties has
    1-5  characterized the colorful history and rich association of Texans
    1-6  and their neighbors to the south; and
    1-7        WHEREAS, For over 20 years, the exchange program between The
    1-8  University of Texas School of Law and the Law School of the
    1-9  University of Guanajuato in Mexico has presented a unique
   1-10  opportunity for Texas students to become familiar with the legal
   1-11  system of Mexico; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, Providing a basis for enhanced understanding of the
   1-13  economic, political, and social relationships that exist between
   1-14  the United States and Mexico, the exchange program is worthy of
   1-15  legislative commendation; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, It is truly appropriate that the State of Texas
   1-17  extend warm greetings to Edna Aguilar Dominguez, Marco Antonio
   1-18  Barajas Castillo, Silvia Fabiola Ochoa Martinez, Maria Iliana
   1-19  Cabildo Chavez, Adriana Alvarez Rendon, Orlando Gutierrez Mejia,

   1-21  Arellano, Brenda Maldonado Calderon, Victor Hugo Valdivia Muniz,

   2-10        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
   2-11  Legislature hereby declare these worthy individuals to be honorary
   2-12  citizens of Texas with all attendant rights and privileges; and, be
   2-13  it further
   2-14        RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be prepared for the
   2-15  visiting delegation of the Guanajuato Exchange Program as an
   2-16  expression of the high regard of the Texas House of
   2-17  Representatives.
