H.R. No. 704 R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The legislative community recently suffered a great 1-2 loss with the passing of Lenore Johnson, who was employed as a 1-3 photographer with the Texas House of Representatives; and 1-4 WHEREAS, Known by many denizens of the Capitol Complex for 1-5 the glamorous grey streak in her hair as well as her talent, 1-6 Ms. Johnson was a native of San Antonio who left the Lone Star 1-7 State to attend the prestigious Brooks Institute of Photographic 1-8 Art and Science in California before returning home to Texas, the 1-9 state she was proud to call home; and 1-10 WHEREAS, Happy to find employment that would combine her love 1-11 of Texas with her love of photography, Ms. Johnson joined the staff 1-12 of the house photography department in 1987 and, throughout the 1-13 ensuing years, developed a reputation for her artistry and her 1-14 attention to detail, which greatly enhanced the beauty of the 1-15 monthly wall calendar produced by the house of representatives and 1-16 countless other projects during her tenure; and 1-17 WHEREAS, A consummate professional, she took myriad 1-18 photographs of house members over the course of her employment and 1-19 always strived to make them look their best, winning the lasting 1-20 friendship and admiration of many along the way; and 1-21 WHEREAS, Lenore Johnson was cherished by her family and 1-22 friends and all who had grown to know her through the years; though 1-23 her absence is keenly felt, the memory of this remarkable woman 1-24 will long endure through the beauty of the work and the memories 2-1 she leaves behind; now, therefore, be it 2-2 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas 2-3 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Lenore Johnson and 2-4 extend deepest sympathy to her beloved daughter, Nory Johnson, to 2-5 her adoring partner, Rusty Busby, and to her many other friends and 2-6 family members; and, be it further 2-7 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-8 prepared for the members of her family and that when the Texas 2-9 House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of 2-10 Lenore Johnson.
