H.R. No. 834 R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, On May 13, 1995, Thelma Faye Penn Reynolds will be 1-2 joined by friends and relatives to celebrate her 77th birthday, and 1-3 that event is indeed a joyous occasion worthy of special 1-4 celebration; and 1-5 WHEREAS, A native Texan, she was born May 13, 1918, near 1-6 Milburn to Lottie and Ed Penn; she became the bride of her high 1-7 school sweetheart, William Ray Reynolds, on March 27, 1943, and the 1-8 couple shared four decades of matrimonial happiness until 1-9 Mr. Reynolds' passing in 1983; and 1-10 WHEREAS, The Reynolds were blessed with two children, Joyce 1-11 Reynolds Frost and Earl Ray Reynolds, and in recent years, 1-12 Mrs. Reynolds' close-knit family has grown as her children have 1-13 married and had families of their own, and today she enjoys the 1-14 company of four grandchildren, who have benefited from their 1-15 grandmother's constant love and affection; and 1-16 WHEREAS, Mrs. Reynolds is a licensed beautician who enhanced 1-17 the appearance of many regular customers in Ranger before moving 1-18 her services to Brownwood, where she has given many people the 1-19 benefit of her discerning eye and ready smile; and 1-20 WHEREAS, Mrs. Reynolds is a woman of deep and abiding 1-21 religious conviction as well, and shares her faith as an active 1-22 member of the Early Church of Christ; and 1-23 WHEREAS, The birthday of Thelma Reynolds provides a fitting 1-24 opportunity for her family and friends to share with this lovely 2-1 lady a small bit of the joy and happiness she has imparted to all 2-2 who have experienced her love and friendship throughout the years; 2-3 now, therefore, be it 2-4 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas 2-5 Legislature hereby extend warmest congratulations to Thelma Faye 2-6 Penn Reynolds on the occasion of her 77th birthday and sincere best 2-7 wishes for continued happiness in the future; and, be it further 2-8 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-9 prepared for Mrs. Reynolds as an expression of high regard by the 2-10 Texas House of Representatives.
