                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The many friends and relatives of Vicente G. Molinar
    1-2  were deeply saddened by the passing of this esteemed gentleman on
    1-3  October 14, 1994, at the age of 100; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, Born December 11, 1893, in Presidio, Mr. Molinar was
    1-5  a lifelong resident of Alpine, and his neighbors and many friends
    1-6  there looked up to him as a man of honor and integrity; and
    1-7        WHEREAS, He eventually pursued a career in the construction
    1-8  business, and in that field he was highly regarded for his hard
    1-9  work, dedication, and expertise; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, A devout Catholic, he enjoyed a rich and rewarding
   1-11  relationship with his wife of many years, Candelaria Molinar, and
   1-12  their marriage was blessed with seven cherished children; sadly,
   1-13  Mr. Molinar was preceded in death by his wife and one son, Ramon
   1-14  Molinar; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, In recent years, this loving family grew to include
   1-16  more than 100 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and
   1-17  great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were a continuing source of
   1-18  pride and joy to Mr. Molinar; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, Throughout his long and distinguished life, Vicente
   1-20  G. Molinar strove to exemplify the highest ideals of Christian
   1-21  faith and charity, and although his presence is gone from us now,
   1-22  his unique spirit will surely live on in the hearts and minds of
   1-23  the many people whose lives he touched; now, therefore, be it
   1-24        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
    2-1  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Vicente G. Molinar
    2-2  and extend deepest sympathy to the members of his family: to his
    2-3  daughters, Amparo Gallego, Alicia Portillo, and Elva Espinoza; to
    2-4  his sons, Vic Molinar, Raul Molinar, and Joe Molinar; to his 34
    2-5  grandchildren; to his 62 great-grandchildren; to his 14
    2-6  great-great-grandchildren; and to all the many friends and
    2-7  relatives of this beloved gentleman; and, be it further
    2-8        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-9  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
   2-10  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Vicente G.
   2-11  Molinar.
