                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor
    1-2  Earl Tischofer for the many significant contributions he has made
    1-3  to the Houston metropolitan area as executive director of the North
    1-4  NASA Area Association of Realtors; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, The association pursues several important
    1-6  objectives, which include uniting those engaged in the branches of
    1-7  the real estate profession, promoting and maintaining high
    1-8  standards of professional conduct, uniting local realtors with
    1-9  their peers at the state and national levels, and designating
   1-10  accredited realtors; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, Mr. Tischofer has earned a well-deserved reputation
   1-12  throughout the real estate profession as a nationally recognized
   1-13  educator, trainer, and speaker, and he previously distinguished
   1-14  himself as director of education and training for the San Antonio
   1-15  Board of Realtors; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, Mr. Tischofer has continued to work for the
   1-17  betterment of his profession as a trained mediator, and he has
   1-18  offered wise and thoughtful guidance to countless parties as a
   1-19  senior member of the National Academy of Conciliators; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, A man of many talents and interests, he also is an
   1-21  accomplished athlete; as a college student he was an
   1-22  internationally ranked gymnast and  nationally ranked volleyball
   1-23  player, and he represented this country in the first Pan American
   1-24  Games in both sports; and
    2-1        WHEREAS, Mr. Tischofer enjoys a full and active life, and he
    2-2  makes time in his busy schedule to enjoy his favorite leisure time
    2-3  pursuits, which include fishing, reading, and following sports
    2-4  events; throughout his many endeavors, he has enjoyed the love and
    2-5  support of his gracious wife, Patsy; and
    2-6        WHEREAS, Mr. Tischofer is an outstanding individual who has
    2-7  left an indelible mark on his community as a real estate
    2-8  professional, and he is indeed deserving of special praise and
    2-9  recognition for his numerous accomplishments; now, therefore, be it
   2-10        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 74th Texas
   2-11  Legislature hereby honor Earl Tischofer for the many significant
   2-12  contributions he has made to the Houston metropolitan area and wish
   2-13  him continued success in all his future endeavors; and, be it
   2-14  further
   2-15        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
   2-16  prepared for Mr. Tischofer as an expression of high regard by the
   2-17  Texas House of Representatives.
