                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, Danielle Star Willis was born on Texas Independence
    1-2  Day, March 2, 1992, near the Capitol of Texas in Austin, Travis
    1-3  County, Texas; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, Blessed with a sparkling personality and an
    1-5  irresistible smile, this charming young Texan is the granddaughter
    1-6  of our esteemed colleague, Representative Doyle Willis, dean of the
    1-7  Texas Legislature, past president pro tempore of the senate, past
    1-8  governor for a day, and member of the Sons of the Republic of
    1-9  Texas; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, Danielle Star Willis is a sixth-generation Texan,
   1-11  whose mother, Dina Evelyn Willis, graduated from Gulf Park Junior
   1-12  College for Young Women, Sweet Briar College, and Texas Christian
   1-13  University; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, Danielle Star Willis will be a natural and lovely
   1-15  junior mascot to commemorate the 160th Anniversary of Texas
   1-16  Independence Day; now, therefore, be it
   1-17        RESOLVED, That the 74th Legislature of the State of Texas
   1-18  name Danielle Star Willis as an official junior mascot of Texas
   1-19  Independence Day, 1996; and, be it further
   1-20        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
   1-21  prepared and presented to Danielle Star Willis as a token of the
   1-22  highest esteem from the Texas House of Representatives.
